Cradlepoint ARC MBR1400 and ARC CBA750

The CradlePoint ARC MBR1400 and ARC CBA750 Integrated Business Series Routers enable easy-to-install wireless connectivity in fixed business locations. It combines the MBR1400 or CBA750 router with a modem cap that contains an embedded Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint 3G or 4G module, making them ideal for distributed enterprises such as branch offices, retail POS locations, restaurants, and small businesses. The ARC Series Routers provide wired Ethernet and 3G or 4G wireless WAN connectivity to keep your business up and running. Plus, each modem cap features high-gain cellular antennas to enhance in-building signal coverage and improve performance in fringe locations and areas of poor coverage (these antennas are removable and can be replaced with higher-gain antennas [sold separately] if desired!).

If you already own the Cradlepoint MBR1400, MBR1200B, or CBA750 and just want to add the modem cap, you can purchase the modem caps separately.

The ARC Integrated Series Routers are an ideal alternative to using a router along with a traditional USB or ExpressCard 3G or 4G mobile broadband modem. Instead of plugging a USB modem into the MBR1400 or CBA750 (which leaves the modem exposed and susceptible to damage or theft), the modem cap attaches securely onto the router. The modem caps include an embedded 3G or 4G modem module (requires service from Sprint or Verizon - see below for more info), and also feature powerful external antennas to assist with cellular coverage. Since the modems are specifically optimized for enhanced performance and reliability, the router + modem cap combination provides the highest levels of performance and reliability.

How much do the ARC routers and mobile broadband service cost? Cradlepoint has several versions of the ARC MBR1400 and the ARC CBA750 available - one with an embedded Verizon 3G/4G module, one for Sprint 3G, one for Sprint 4G, and one for AT&T 3G/4G. Costs are detailed below:

ARC MBR1400 or ARC CBA750 with embedded Verizon 3G/4G modem: Verizon offers two options for 3G/4G service: 5GB for $50/month or 10GB for $80/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out these charts: What does 5GB get me? and What does 10GB get me?). If you need to sign up for a new Verizon 2-year service plan, 5Gstore can take care of that for you and can ship your ARC router pre-activated. If you already have an existing Verizon 3G/4G device and you just want to swap your service over to the ARC, you can simply take your existing SIM card and insert it into the modem cap when you receive it. If you want to sign up for Verizon's month-to-month service, you'll need to contact Verizon when you receive the equipment to get set up with a SIM card and service.

ARC MBR1400 or ARC CBA750 with embedded Sprint 4G modem: Sprint offers two options for 4G service: 6GB for $49.99/month or 12GB for $79.99/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out these charts: What does 6GB get me? and What does 12GB get me?). If you need to sign up for a new Sprint 2-year service plan, 5Gstore can take care of that for you and can ship your ARC router pre-activated. If you already have an existing Sprint 4G device and you just want to swap your service over to the ARC, you can simply do an "ESN swap" when you receive it. Sprint does not offer month-to-month service like Verizon.

ARC MBR1400 or ARC CBA750 with embedded Sprint 3G modem: Sprint only offers one plan for 3G service: 5GB for $59.99/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out this chart: What does 5GB get me?). If you need to sign up for a new Sprint 2-year service plan, 5Gstore can take care of that for you and can ship your ARC router pre-activated. If you already have an existing Sprint 3G device and you just want to swap your service over to the ARC, you can simply do an "ESN swap" when you receive it. ARC MBR1400 or ARC CBA750 with embedded AT&T 3G/4G modem: AT&T only offers one plan for 3G/4G service: 5GB for $50/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out this chart: What does 5GB get me?).

This video demonstrates how easy it is to use the Cradlepoint modem caps, as well as the increase in performance we saw versus a standalone USB modem used with a router
