About Us
Our Cary, Illinois based company has been in business as MDG Computer Services since 1988, but we began focusing our efforts on all things EVDO since we first got hooked on mobile broadband in 2004. Our first site was EVDOinfo, which we created to discuss EVDO news, provide tips and tricks on using EVDO, and review products. What started as a news and discussion portal soon turned into a business as we began selling the still-popular Booster Antenna on our first retail site, booster-antenna.com, which we later changed to be called 3Gstore.com. In February of 2005 we expanded to sell and support Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband modems and service and our expert knowledge and unmatched customer support quickly made us the go-to source for EVDO-craving customers. Since then we've become a Sprint Master Agent, an authorized AT&T dealer, an authorized seller for LinkSys Mobile Broadband routers, a Cradlepoint Platinum Partner, the first authorized reseller for Kyocera's KR1 router (later replaced by the KR2), and most recently we began selling and supporting CLEAR 4G WiMAX products. At 3Gstore.com, wireless fans can now find everything they need for their mobile broadband solution: EVDO modems from Verizon Wireless, 3G and 4G devices from Sprint, 4G WiMAX products for CLEAR, as well as antennas, amplifiers, and routers for all of your mobile broadband devices - including HSPA providers like AT&T and Canadian EVDO providers!
At 3Gstore, customer service has always been our number one priority. We provide personalized service and advice before your purchase and unmatched technical support once you've received your 3Gstore products. You can rest assured that everyone you'll deal with at 3Gstore is qualified, knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to help YOU! Allow us to introduce our 3G family:
Our Team
Sales

Vanessa
Vanessa has been with 3Gstore since August 2007 when she made a career change from teaching social studies to teaching mobile broadband. Her brother Victor is 3Gstore's technical support manager. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Jason and new son Brandon. She also enjoys dark chocolate, working out, shopping and collecting Coach purses. Vanessa resides in Orland Park, Illinois.

Scott
Scott started working with 3gstore.com in September of 2007 after years of traditional retail management. He grew up in Central New York but now calls the sunshine of Southern California home and enjoys riding his bicycle and photography in his free time. Like the rest of our team, Scott is an Internet junkie and is rarely without an internet connection - DSL at home and a Sprint U720 in a Cradlepoint PHS300 or CTR350 while traveling. He is also never without his iPhone.

Maureen
Maureen, 3Gstore's sales team manager, first came to work for MDG in 2006 and then rejoined the team in July of 2008 after taking a break to dabble in the college sports industry (nothing could keep her from mobile broadband!). She loves technology and particularly enjoys working on MDG's family of websites, from coding HTML to writing articles. Maureen recently completed her degree in media design, and in her free time she enjoys reading, baseball, writing, yoga, and moonlighting as
The Yankees Chick.

Torrey
Torrey originally started working for us in our sales and support departments in May of 2007. After taking a leave for a year he has returned to us as our "mid-fielder" working in both the sales and support departments. He is very interested in just about anything related to technology, especially Apple products, mobile broadband, and networking. Torrey resides in the small town of Floyd, Virginia.

Matt
Matt is the newest addition to the 3Gstore team. He enjoys talking about new tech toys as well as troubleshooting them. He started school at Devry University in early 2009 and is working towards his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems Security & Networking. In his free time he enjoys watching a good movie, hitting the trails on his 4-wheeler or just hanging out with friends. He lives in Central PA and has plenty of personal experience dealing with cellular antennas in the mountains!
Technical Support

Victor
Victor is an Eagle scout, a husband, a father and a dedicated employee. He started his IT career at the early age of 12 when he dismantled the small television that was at his parents bedside. It was then that Victor knew that he wanted to work with bits, bytes, and flashing lights! Victor has dedicated himself for more than 15 years to improving client relationships and assisting fellow employees to work effectively in the IT industry. He has participated in several events and has become a valuable source for several government agencies. Victor has been the manager of the support team since late 2006 and resides in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Dario
Dario joined our team in January of 2008 after having worked for other companies in the industry (including Intel, Verizon Wireless and Nielsen Media) for 10 years. According to Dario, 3Gstore has been the best company he's worked with! When he's not working, Dario enjoys reading, computers, and traveling, and his favorite quote is "Knowledge is Power." Dario resides in San Francisco, California.

Ed
Ed is our newest team member and brings 14 years of technical support experience with him. Besides his interest in technology (he loves mini-USB connectors in particular), he's also a music fanatic and even works weekly as a DJ at an established venue in his hometown of Austin, TX. In his spare time he enjoys reading sci-fi novels but does not enjoy long walks on the beach or Bluetooth.
Warehouse Staff

Lynn

Outside of work, Lynn spends her time with her big family - she and her husband have 4 kids between 11 and 18 years old - and enjoys baseball, football, traveling, and spending time with her friends. Lynn resides in Cary, Illinois.

Bob
Bob is our shipping guru, making sure every order gets processed correctly (and upgrading the firmware on all those routers!). Bob is a family guy and even coaches his youngest daughter's basketball and softball teams; he also has a son in high school who is a member of the marching band another daughter in 7th grade who is very into sports. He and his wife recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Bob has been with 3Gstore since August 2006 and lives in Cary, Illinois.

Kay
Kay was one of MDG's first employees, and started helping with shipping in Michael & Julia's basement in February of 2006 and now works at the warehouse part-time. In Kay's other part-time world, she is a travel agent and she is a regular guest on the
Jonathon Brandmeier Radio Show in Chicago (Travel On Kay). Kay has been married to her high school sweetheart Larry for 21 years and they have a 12-year-old daughter, Lindsay. Her hobbies include travel, being a soccer mom and her monthly book club, and her biggest desire is to drive a fork lift at the 3Gstore warehouse (we don't have one yet, BUT we promise, when we do...). Kay also resides in Cary, Illnois.

Michelle
Michelle joined MDG to support the office and warehouse in February, 2010. She worked in the corporate fitness industry for 11 years before 'retiring' and moving into office administration, her real calling. Michelle is working online toward her MBA, and in her spare time enjoys reading, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their dog. She also has the longest commute among the warehouse staff, although she too resides in Cary, IL.
The Owners

Michael
Michael started MDG Computer Services, Inc. in 1988 as a Mac Consultant and database developer. During 2004, Michael got hooked on mobile broadband and started EVDOinfo.com as a way to educate and help people to learn about EVDO. When we first started there wasn't anything for sale, just a one page web site to help people. Although we are now selling products, we have the same core values as had when this first started. Our mission is to help people BEFORE and AFTER the sale. Our sales people are not paid on commission and our tech support staff can take as long as they need to solve your problem. Our recipe for success is simple: hire the best people who love what they do, give each employee access to the products they sell or support, and treat each customer like they are one of our family. Following these simple rules allows us to be successful.

Julia
Julia is your typical successful corporate MBA who quit her job late 2005 to help grow the business. In the three years since, Julia has helped guide the company from an at-home hobby to a multi-million dollar business. Julia brings much experience in the areas of project management, backend infrastructure, HR and general consulting. Julia and Michael recently celebrated their 15 year anniversary and have twin 13 year old girls; they reside in Cary, Illinois.
