The Cradlepoint CBA-250 Cellular Broadband Adapter provides IP Pass-Through capabilities for a LAN device requiring broadband access. For most applications, simply connect the CBA250 and turn the unit on. The CBA250 handles the connection without configuration and gives enhanced network connectivity with support for USB and ExpressCard modems running on EVDO and HSPA. Delivers mobile broadband in an accessible, familiar format (Ethernet).

As a high-performance adapter platform, the CBA250 supports multiple and concurrent application streams for the attached LAN device. This flexible connectivity solution comes with an always-on signal-strength meter to determine the best cellular coverage location for optimum placement.

The CBA250 is a first of its kind and our tech support department has been beta testing the product for CradlePoint months before the ship date. In fact, you may find that we call this product "SideWinder", as that was the codename for the CBA250.

The "big" feature of the CBA250 is that it contains "IP Pass-Through". If you do not know what that means, you probably don't need the CBA250. Also, understand that the CBA DOES NOT have WiFi built-in. It converts a 3G (EVDO / HSDPA) signal to ethernet. The device you plug in on ethernet will get a public IP Address (vs. a NAT address). You specify in the admin which Mac Address gets the public IP Address, others hooked via an ethernet hub can still hook up via DHCP.
