The WiFi Booster Antenna connects to the Cradlepoint CTR500's MC connector via an included adapter cable to provide an extended WiFi range, meaning your wireless devices can be further away from the router and still connect. In our tests, adding the Booster Antenna to the CTR500 provided similar range that we see from the Cradlepoint MBR1000, which utilizes Wireless N technology for its wireless radio! Your exact range will vary depending on factors such as interference and the receiving devices, but our testing showed that the Booster Antenna consistently tripled our wireless range.
