Cradlepoint COR IBR600/650 Integrated Broadband Routers

The CradlePoint COR Series is built for your M2M network. It’s an affordable, highly-featured, compact router designed for critical business and enterprise applications that require 24x7 connectivity. The router features a built-in high-speed Verizon 3G-only, Sprint 3G-only, Verizon 3G/4G, or AT&T 3G/4G modem, as well as support for traditional wired networks such as DSL or Cable. With its compact size, sleek metal case, mounting bracket, and cellular 3G or 4G antennas, COR is ideal for use in high-availability portable or fixed applications like ATMs, kiosks, surveillance, vehicles, etc. Cradlepoint offers two versions of the COR - the IBR600, which includes built-in WiFi (including the WiFi as WAN feature, meaning the router can utilize an external hotspot as an internet source), and the IBR650, which does NOT have WiFi.

The COR is ideal for increasing your internet availability and ensuring maximum uptime with business continuity features like failover / failback. When configured, the router detects network failures and seamlessly switches over to another active connected network(s), keeping your network online. Additionally, COR is ideal for deployment as a primary connection solution where wired internet is not available. COR also provides secure and reliable VPN functionality, allowing users to create, manage and terminate up to 5 concurrent IPSec VPN sessions. It allows for secure access to company networks for enterprise applications and provides a secure way to transmit sensitive data to and from a remote site.

The built-in 3G or 4G modules (see below) can be used as a backup to a primary line of service or as the primary connection in areas where cable/DSL isn't available. Each COR router features high-gain cellular antennas to enhance in-building signal coverage and improve performance in fringe locations and areas of poor coverage (these antennas are removable and can be replaced with higher-gain antennas [sold separately] if desired!).

How much do the COR IBR600 (WiFi included) and IBR650 (no WiFi) routers and mobile broadband service cost? Cradlepoint has several versions of the COR available. Costs are detailed below:

IBR600 with embedded Verizon 3G/4G modem: Verizon offers two options for 3G/4G service: 5GB for $50/month or 10GB for $80/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out these charts: What does 5GB get me? and What does 10GB get me?). If you need to sign up for a new Verizon 2-year service plan, 5Gstore can take care of that for you and can ship your IBR router pre-activated. If you already have an existing Verizon 3G/4G device and you just want to swap your service over to the IBR, you can simply take your existing SIM card and insert it into the IBR when you receive it. If you want to sign up for Verizon's month-to-month service, you'll need to contact Verizon when you receive the equipment to get set up with a SIM card and service. There is currently no IBR650 (non-WiFi) model available with embedded Verizon 3G/4G.

IBR600 with embedded AT&T 3G/4G modem: AT&T only offers one plan for 3G/4G service: 5GB for $50/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out this chart: What does 5GB get me?). If you already have an existing AT&T 3G/4G device and you just want to swap your service over to the IBR, you can simply take your existing SIM card and insert it into the IBR when you receive it. If you need to sign up for new AT&T service, you'll need to contact AT&T when you receive the equipment to get set up with a SIM card and service. There is currently no IBR650 (non-WiFi) model available with embedded AT&T 3G/4G.

IBR600/IBR650 with embedded Verizon 3G-only modem: Verizon only offers one plan for 3G service: 5GB for $59.99/month (if you're not sure how much data you'll need, check out this chart: What does 5GB get me?).
