The Building Mount antenna improves signal for voice and data (1xRTT, EVDO Rev-0, EVDO Rev-A, EDGE [AT&T 2G], HSPA [AT&T 3G]). The signal "gain" users see with the Building Omni is variable and dependent upon available signal in the area, interference, etc. Before buying any antenna, we encourage customers to read this article: Will an Antenna Help Me?.

Cabling and Adapter Cables:

This antenna does NOT include cabling. You must select a length of cable from the below list (for the ultra-low-loss cabling, we bundle the necessary connector along with the cable!). If you already have the appropriate cable for this antenna, you may select the "I already have a cable" option.

You will also need an adapter cable to connect this antenna to your device. (not sure where your device's antenna port is? See Where is My Antenna Port?) If you already own an adapter cable, you can select the "I already have an adapter cable" option from the bottom of the list.

This antenna is made for outdoor use and should be mounted as high as possible in order to minimize obstruction between the antenna and the cell tower. The antenna may be mounted to pole up to 1-3/4" in diameter or to a flat surface (mounting hardware is included, pole/mast not included).

3G Rep, told me this was the best one to use out in the country, but this antenna was a waste of money. I wouldn't advise buying this antenna or shopping at 3G to my friends.

Hello, sorry that it isn't working for you. It really depends how "far our in the country" you are. It usually is a good idea to do a "site survey" at http://3gstore.com/rssi to see how good or bad your signal is. Antennas really do work and amplifiers increase signal even more. The problem is that every location is different and depending on how far away you are and what is in between you and the signal makes a huge difference. If signal is 20 miles away from you and by the time it gets to you, there is no signal left. Multiplying zero by anything still gets you zero. You do have a 30 day return privilege - so if you are not completely happy, email or give us a call.

I mounted this on the outside of my house about 20 ft high and connected it to a Wilson Sleek. It improved the signal from varying between -101 and -118dbm to varying between -81 and -88dbm which provides MUCH more dependable service. See my review of the Wilson Sleek.
