This antenna does NOT include cabling. You must select a length of cable from the list (for the ultra-low-loss cabling, we bundle the connector you'll need to connect the cable to your adapter). If you already have a compatible cable you plan to use (this antenna has an FME/Female connector and also includes an N/Female connector for use with N/Male cables), you may select the "I already have a cable" option at the bottom of the list.

How much cable should you use? Unless you plan on using an amplifier as well, we recommend using LESS THAN 50' OF CABLE to minimize signal loss. The longer the cable you use, the more signal you lose. Mounting the antenna outside and reasonably high up is recommended, but using long lengths of cable for the express purpose of mounting the antenna higher up is NOT worth it - you will lose more signal from the cable than you will gain from mounting it up higher. For example, using a 20' cable and mounting the antenna at the roof line would be better than using a 50' cable and running the antenna high up a pole on the roof.

You will need an adapter cable or connector to connect this antenna to your device. Simply select your device from the menu and we will include the appropriate adapter with your antenna. If you already own the necessary adapter, you can select the "I already have an adapter" option from the bottom of the list.

Fast Facts About This Product:

  • This antenna is best for: Stationary home/office/building users who need a different cable length than the 12.5' that comes with the Omni Trucker. Since the Building Omni antenna only has 14" of RG58 cable pre-attached to it, you can select whatever length of cable you need for your application (above). This antenna can also be used in an RV/truck/car, but remember that the lack of a spring base increases the potential of damage if it hits anything on the road!
  • Compatibility: 700mhz/800mhz/1700mhz/1900mhz networks, which are used by most 2G, 3G, and 4G providers in the USA, including:
    • Verizon 2G/3G/4G (does NOT work for Verizon's AWS frequencies - helps with 4G only on the 700mhz band)
    • Sprint 2G/3G/4G LTE (does NOT work with 4G WiMAX!)
    • AT&T 2G/3G/4G/LTE
    • T-Mobile & MetroPCS 3G/4G only where 1700/1900mhz is being used (these carriers also use the 2100mhz band in some areas; this antenna will NOT help in those cases).
    • US Cellular 3G/4G
    • Datajack 3G
    • Virgin Mobile 3G
    • For other carriers, confirm which frequency your provider is using and make sure this antenna supports it before purchasing! Contact us if you need any assistance.
  • Height: 18" tall.
  • Cable: NO cable is included with this antenna. Various lengths are available; you can select your cable above.
  • Ground Plane: The Building Omni uses included radials as a built-in ground plane.
  • Weatherproof? Yes, this antenna is designed for exterior use.
  • Mounting Requirements: Mounting hardware is included to mount to any pole up to 1-3/4" in diameter or to flat surface.
  • Portability: This antenna is designed to be affixed to a structure and as such is not a very portable option.

Do a site survey before buying this antenna! If you're purchasing this to use in just one location, we strongly recommend doing a site survey first to determine whether the antenna will help your signal and performance and to give you an idea of what kind of results you can expect from it. Antenna is the bomb. now on the roof moved me from-97 to -105 to -88 - -86 and from 2 bars to a solid 3 three bars with a Verizon supply. Now it is back to DSL I had 18 years ago in Minneapolis MN.

3G Rep, told me this was the best one to use out in the country, but this antenna was a waste of money. I wouldn't advise buying this antenna or shopping at 3G to my friends.

3Gstore Comments:
Hello, sorry that it isn't working for you. It really depends how "far our in the country" you are. It usually is a good idea to do a "site survey" at http://3gstore.com/rssi to see how good or bad your signal is. Antennas really do work and amplifiers increase signal even more. The problem is that every location is different and depending on how far away you are and what is in between you and the signal makes a huge difference. If signal is 20 miles away from you and by the time it gets to you, there is no signal left. Multiplying zero by anything still gets you zero. You do have a 30 day return privilege - so if you are not completely happy, email or give us a call.

Very well made, you can tell it's a Wilson antenna from the quality. It works well to improve my signal to the Verizon 3G card.

The antenna was everything the description said it would be. Very happy with the service rep I spoke to and the price was great. The 3G Store is definitely on my list of preferred vendors.

I mounted this on the outside of my house about 20 ft high and connected it to a Wilson Sleek. It improved the signal from varying between -101 and -118dbm to varying between -81 and -88dbm which provides MUCH more dependable service. See my review of the Wilson Sleek.
