Q: How fast is Verizon mobile broadband?
Answer: That will depend on what kind of coverage is available where you need it. Check the Verizon Wireless coverage map and see what's available where you want service. EVDO Rev-A (3G) can provide average download speeds of 600Kbps-1,400Kbps (with bursts up to 2.0Mbps) and upload speeds of 500Kbps-800Kbps (with bursts up to 1.8Mbps). LTE (4G) is available in some areas of the country and can provide speeds up to 5-12Mbps down and 2-5Mbps up (4G service requires a 4G-capable device).

Q: Which Verizon Wireless modem is the fastest?
Answer: Form factor has nothing to do with realized 3G or 4G speeds. The devices are made in different form factors simply to accommodate the needs of different customers. Not everyone has a card slot, nor does everyone want to use USB if they have a card slot. Please read this this article for a more detailed explanation on why there is no speed difference between different models of 3G Rev-A modems. Of course, in order to use Verizon's 4G network, you must be using a 4G-capable device.

Q: Is Verizon Wireless 3G or 4G service "Unlimited"?
Answer: While there are no data or time limitations to Verizon Wireless's EVDO or LTE service, Verizon Wireless does impose overage charges if you exceed your monthly allowance. For 3G USB and ExpressCards, the overage charge for the $59.99/mo 5GB plan is $.05/mb and for the $39.99/mo 250MB plan it is $.10/mb. For the 3GB, 5GB, and 10GB plans available for MiFi and Fivespot users, the overage fee is $10.00/GB. For the 3G/4G devices, the overage charge is $10.00/GB (and keep in mind that the usage allowance on the 3G/4G plans is cumulative - in other words, you have 5 or 10GB of TOTAL usage for 3G and 4G). We recommend that all customers read the terms of service before purchasing.

Q: Are there any other fees involved?
Answer: In addition to the monthly fee, there will be varying state and federal taxes, just as there are on your cell phone plan. These taxes generally amount to no more than a couple dollars per month. Verizon Wireless also charges a $35 activation fee that will appear on your first monthly bill (this applies to new and existing Verizon Wireless customers). State sales tax may also apply.

Q: Why do I have to give you my personal information (social security number, etc)?
Answer: Verizon Wireless requires a credit check when setting up a new account or adding a line to an existing account. This is standard practice and all wireless providers require this. Should you decide not to provide this information, Verizon Wireless may require a large deposit to open your new account, as there will not be any reference for past credit history. Deposits depend on the customer's credit history and generally start at $100 per line which is typically returned by Verizon Wireless as a credit to account after one year of good payment history. Please note that omitting information can delay the processing of your order.

If you are UPGRADING a line on an EXISTING account or adding a new line to an existing account, you need only provide the last 4 digits of the social security number or federal tax ID associated with the account, current mobile number, Verizon account number, and account password (if you h ave one).

Q: I would like to UPGRADE my existing line of service - can I do that through 3Gstore?
Answer: Absolutely. Once you have completed 22 months of your 24-month contract, Verizon Wireless will typically allow you to upgrade to a new device. Upgrade pricing is NOT always the same as "new line" pricing. If your existing device is out of contract, it may be better for you to add a NEW line of service and cancel your old one.

Important notes about UPGRADES:
  • You must have completed at least 22 months of your 24 month contract
  • Your account must be in good financial standing and without late fees
  • When you upgrade, you agree to extend your contract 24 months from the end of your existing contract
  • If you are on the old unlimited data plan, you will LOSE that plan if you do an upgrade! Upgrading automatically puts you under the new terms of service with the monthly data allowance and overage charges.
  • Eligibility results may vary based on a variety of conditions including, but not limited to: a customer's usage history, payment record, previous phone replacement, etc. Upgrade eligibility is determined by Verizon Wireless in its sole discretion. Account approval will vary.

Q: Is there a "Free Trial Period"?
Answer: Verizon Wireless provides a 14 day trial for your 3G or 3G/4G service, but it is not "free". If you are not satisfied with Verizon Wireless service, you can cancel (or go back to the conditions of your previous Customer Agreement if this is an upgrade) within 14 days and not be subjected to Verizon's $175 early termination fee. Your shipping and activation charges are non-refundable (if you cancel in the first 3 days, your activation fee will be refunded), and you may be charged for a partial month of service.

Q: Is there an "Early Termination Fee"?
Answer: Verizon Wireless provides a 14-day trial for your service during which you can cancel without incurring an ETF. After the first 14 days, any cancellation will result in an early termination fee that starts at $175 and declines $5 for every month of the contract that is completed.

Q: Does 3Gstore have a refund policy?
Answer: All 'order options' invoiced by 3Gstore.com such as antennas, routers, amplifiers and repeaters will fall under our 30 day return policy.

Q: What will I be charged for today?
Answer: You will be charged for the Verizon Wireless device you select as well as any other items you add to your order, and shipping charges. Please note that the device itself may be billed separately by our Verizon Wireless fulfillment agent.

If you purchase an antenna, router, or amplifier, you will automatically receive a discount at checkout!

State sales tax may also apply (variable based on state).

Q: How long will it take to get my order?
Answer: Before shipping, Verizon Wireless must first approve your application for new service or upgrade. If you place your order by 12pm CST, most orders are approved, activated and shipped within hours of being placed, but this process may take up to 24 hours. In some cases, the carrier may delay approval due to circumstances beyond our control. If the carrier requires additional information to approve your order, we will contact you immediately via e-mail and/or phone, so when you place your order, be sure to provide an e-mail address that you check regularly. It is your responsibility to check your voicemail/email after submitting your order.

Where noted, some Verizon Wireless devices ship directly from Verizon via FedEx 2nd Day or Overnight (your choice). You will be emailed a tracking number as soon as it ships. Other devices, as well as all "order options" (routers, antennas, etc) will be shipped via the FedEx method of your choice from our warehouse in Illinois and you will receive a tracking number via email.

Q: Will my order require a signature upon delivery?
