The Peplink Balance 20 allows you to load balance between two WAN connections (cable/DSL/T-1/satellite) for increasing internet bandwidth, reliability, uptime, and to reduce the cost of having expensive leased lines. The Peplink Balance 20 includes 5 advanced load balancing algorithms. Network traffic is distributed to different Internet links to achieve an overall increase of network speed. Simply add low-cost Internet links such as DSL, Cable to your existing network and loading websites will be much faster - everyone in the network will benefit! Using the outbound traffic manager, you can set up rules to route high volume traffic to your faster Internet links and optimize speed. DSL Optimization will help prioritize increasingly heavy traffic. Intelligent and Automatic Failover performs regular "health checks" to ensure up-to-date statuses, and if one of the links fails, Peplink Balance will automatically re-route traffic to a healthy link to provide continuous internet connectivity.

Options & Upgrades:

This router does NOT have the latest firmware installed. The latest firmware version is included on CD and you can easily upgrade the firmware yourself; alternatively, 3Gstore can perform the upgrade for you before shipping your router for $15. You will need to upgrade the firmware if you want to take advantage of the IPSec feature that was added with firmware 5.3.9 or if you plan to use the Sierra 250U, Franklin U600, or Pantech UML290 (all other modems on the compatibility list will work with the pre-installed firmware). To have 3Gstore update your firmware before shipping, select "upgrade to firmware 5.3.9" from the menu below.
