This router does NOT have the latest firmware installed. The latest firmware version is included on CD and you can easily upgrade the firmware yourself; alternatively, 3Gstore can perform the upgrade for you before shipping your router for $15. You will need to upgrade the firmware if you want to take advantage of the IPSec feature that was added with firmware 5.3.9 or if you plan to use the Sierra 250U, Franklin U600, or Pantech UML290 (all other modems on the compatibility list will work with the pre-installed firmware). To have 3Gstore update your firmware before shipping, select "upgrade to firmware 5.3.9" from the menu below.
