So far I haven't had any signal on the Verizon Pantech UML290 so it'S pretty useless.
It's also hard to tell if I' getting poor or good reception since there are no information showing beside a red or blue light.
Quite disappointed... I need to spend another 600$ to get a booster and hope that will get me better signal...
On a positive side, it's quite simple and easy to use. It's also small and portable which is a plus.
Note that you'Ll need some kind of hub to share the connection with other computers or mobiles.

I had purchased a used Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE 890L Hotspot from an individual and had a Verizon store set it up, but did not like it. I called the 3G store, and after telling a salesperson my needs and what I had researched, I went with the salesperson's recommendation. The Verizon Pantech UML290 has been an excellent USB modem. Being a refurbished is no problem.

This device allowed me to use my Verizon sim from a MiFi device, in my Cradlepoint via USB. It works fantastic. Make sure you also get the SIM size convertor, just in case.

Kudos to the 3GStore for customer service and great products. Money is tight! I needed to dump the horrible Sprint data (and phone) service in my area and get the available Verizon 4G LTE that has great (compared to what I WAS getting in my rural area) speeds and stability. This refurbed Pantech UML290 from the 3GStore is working great! Used one of my existing wide-band directional antennas (Wilson) connected to the UML290. No longer needed an amplifier (though it would boost speed even more). This UML290 cost much less than the same thing Verizon offered to prepaid customers. No contracts for me... EVER AGAIN. Thank you, 3GStore for great products and great support!

I want to say how much we appreciate the courteous, consistent, and
helpful information from your team. Your team helped turned initial
frustration into a very satisfactory experience. You went beyond just
answering questions to helping us understand, from being just reactive to
our situation to proactive to our getting a solution.
As for the ULM290 and using it with Verizon. It was a long and arduous
process but based on information and all the googling we did, others have
had the same issue(s). The solution was found by jumping off of one track
and going down another, and then doing that again, until finally all the
pieces came together. That said we now have a great little inexpensive 7"
android tablet that is connected to a 4Glte network via our ULM290 and a

Item was received in fantastic condition, no finsih marks or anything. Verizon was happy to activate it for me and it has worked perfectly with both my cradlepoint MBR1400 router and my Mac Pro. Service from Verizon is fast and reliable in Nashville (where I am as of this review). The device has given me consistent upload speeds of 6 mb/s (faster than my comcast home internet) and download speeds between 6 and 12 mb/s, more than adequate for email and web browsing. The device is well designed, folding the USB connection in to avoid damage in transit and allowing the USB connection to both picot and rotate when active. Thumbs up all the way around with device itself, as well as my experience with the 3Gstore and the service provided by Verizon.

Completed busted device. Took it to a Verizon store, and it turned on but they couldn't get any signal out of it.
Hello, Looks like this was shipped to you a month ago and there were no phone calls to our tech support department. Not sure exactly what the problem was, but if something was shipped 'busted' we would stand behind it and replace it. Keep in mind when you purchase a device and bring it to a Verizon store for activation, they may say things to get you to purchase from them. Also, this was purchased without service, typically when purchased with service, we will activate and make sure all is working before we ship it.
