You must select a router to use along with your MHS291L. Using the MiFi along with a router will give you more control over your device, allow you to connect more users, and allow you to use the service with non-WiFi equipment (like desktop computers, gaming consoles, etc). The router you choose here will be pre-configured for use with the MiFi - everything is plug-and-play when you receive it! If you already own a compatible router and are interested in the Millenicom service, please contact us.

The Surf SOHO (left) is a powerful home/small office router that gives you 150-200' of WiFi coverage (and it has antenna ports where you can add optional WiFi antennas - sold separately - for even more range) plus 4 ethernet ports for wired connections. In addition to working with the MHS291L, it also supports the WiFi as WAN feature, meaning it can be used to connect to external WiFi sources (like campground WiFi, Starbucks, etc). It also supports many of the enterprise features supported by the higher-end routers, like PepVPN and QoS.

The Balance 20 and Balance 30 (right) are entry-level enterprise/office routers that support the MHS291L as well as two (Balance 20) or three (Balance 30) traditional wired internet connections (cable, DSL, etc). These routers can be used for failover (i.e. they can detect when the primary connection has failed and automatically switch to the backup connection) or they can load balance between all of the connections, and they're also great for VPN. The Balance routers give you TONS of control over your network, including optimizing and prioritizing connections and monitoring bandwidth usage by time or by user. These routers do NOT have built-in WiFi - if you need WiFi, you'll need to add a separate access point (you can connect an access point to one of the four ethernet ports).

Millenicom's 3G/4G Hotspot Plan is a no-contract service that allows for 20 gigabytes of data transfer for just $89.99/month. Use our coverage tool to check coverage by address to make sure Millenicom has service where you need it!

The MiFi MHS219L is a 3G/4G hotspot that can provide internet access for up to 10 wireless devices (laptops, iPads, whatever!) on its own while traveling, and for full-featured home and office use you can pair it with a router (see above to select one) - using the MiFi along with a router will give you more control over your device, allow you to connect more users, and allow you to use the service with non-WiFi equipment (like desktop computers, gaming consoles, etc).

More details:

  • What are the costs? The hotspot costs $164.99 (this includes the activation fee and setup and configuration of both the hotspot and the router); you also must select a router to use along with the hotspot (cost varies - see options at the top of the page). The 20GB monthly 3G/4G service costs $89.99/mo and is billed by Millenicom. No other fees apply, and you can cancel anytime!
  • How and when is the $89.99/mo billed? Millenicom will bill you $89.99/mo on the first of every month for the 20GB service plan (your first month of service will be prorated: for example, if you order on March 10th they will charge you $47.36 for the remaining 16 days of March [the first five days are waived to account for shipping/processing time] and your regular $89.99 monthly service charge will begin on April 1st). If you order within the last 10 days of the month, they will also bill you in full for the upcoming month (and then your regular $89.99 monthly service charge will begin on the first of the following month).
  • Is the service unlimited? NO. The $89.99/mo service includes a 20GB data allowance. If you repeatedly exceed 20GB, Millenicom may suspend or terminate your service.
  • How fast is the service? Speeds will vary depending on whether you're in a 3G or 4G area and how strong your signal is. Below are the average speeds you can expect, assuming you're in a good coverage area (click here to check coverage):
    • 4G (LTE): 5-20Mbps download, 2-5Mbps upload
    • 3G (EVDO Rev-A): 600-1400kbps download, 200-800kbps upload
  • IMPORTANT RETURN POLICY INFO: If you need to return your hotspot, you must contact Millenicom within 24 hours of receiving it to request an RMA. Millenicom will authorize the RMA and then 3Gstore will email you the return instructions (your device must be sent back to 3Gstore). As long as you call Millenicom for your RMA within 24 hours of receiving the equipment, you are eligible for a FULL refund on the hotspot and setup fees (less shipping charges). 3Gstore has a 30-day return policy on all other equipment. Read the full RMA policy before ordering!
  • Read more on our FAQ page.

IMPORTANT: this hotspot is ONLY for use with Millenicom's $89.99/mo 20GB 3G/4G plan - it cannot be activated on any other service.

Excellent product/solution and had it working with my Wifi Router --- could not be happier! Thanks to the 3G Store and awesome support, helping me confirm the solution(s) I had selected were indeed going to do what I expected. You won't find a better deal/solution - I had been searching for months. This is it - one stop shopping for the best products solutions.

Very good product, shipping, and support, as usual, was stellar! I really do appreciate 3G's ability to cut through all the confusion and be such a great supplier! Thanks!

Thus far the hotspot MiFi 4620LE is meeting my requirement BUT the Millenicom Internet service has a new Hotspot device while the 3G Store continues to sell this outdated device and once you make the purchase you are stuck with the outdated device. Sadly, I was unaware of the new device until I called Millenicom for some Internet related information and then was made aware that if I had subscribed to Millenicom's service through Millenicom I would have received the new hotspot device.

This has been a wonderful surprise for us. We live in a rural area, so our only option for internet service is a broadband modem or wifi hotspot. We had been using a broadband modem usb device with AT&T, but of course had the 5G limits. Since we are both retired, we use our internet more and we were always going over. With the Millenicom MiFi 4620LE Hotspot and prepaid plan we are able to do our surfing without the worry of added expense. The bonus was we are now also getting download speeds of 14-16 Mbps at the 4G LTE. We had one small hitch getting started. After getting it all set up the day we received it, it was not connecting. We called the Millenicom support number and the guy stated he would have the towers reset. Now my son, thought that was the biggest line he had ever heard, but a while later everything was working fine. I guess he wasn't kidding. Needless to say, we are extremely pleased.

The MIFI works great. The setup was simple and logical. Recommend this as a good internet option while on the road.

Absolutely perfect for our rural situation - and no contract! We had a hotspot through V******** that never got this kind of reception. It might be that the combination of this hotspot with the router 3gstore sells is helping that, but we are 4GLTE all the time, and since we really had no option but to put this one where the old one was, it really must be the products we got here. Millenicom service is wonderful, no hidden fees, etc, and it sure blows V******** out of the water on price!!!

We just switched from Verizon to Millenicom's 20GB data plan, and we couldn't be happier. The MiFi 4620LE that is required for the Millenicom service seems to be an improvement over the Pantech modem we previously used. We are using the MiFi in our RV, and when we were in an area with marginal 4G service, the Pantech modem had trouble deciding whether to lock onto 4G or 3G. Many times it would just sit there not connected to either, and we had to reboot it frequently. So far, even though we are currently in a marginal 4G area, the MiFi has had no such problems. It has stayed connected, and we have seen it switch back and forth between 4G and 3G (as indicated by the color of the LEDs on the front) on several occasions.

I LOVE IT!!!! Wish I had found this plan years ago. Runs at 4g speeds, very portable and super easy to use. Thanks again 3G Store. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great service and outstanding products.

3G did everything they said they'd do. The hotspot and Millenicom work and provided support as advertised.

I've had the unit for about two weeks, but still have issues with web pages loading fine and then losing connections with the server. This seems to be an issue with Apple laptops from the many calls I had with Millenicom support. I have an older MacBook Pro and the newer Air so I know it is not an OS issue. When the service is connected it works well and for the price of 20 GB for $69 vs Verizon's plan of same for $120 that I hope to drop soon, I'm going to hang on till I get this connection issue solved. And as always 3GStore service is great!
