Great product. Before I bought this I was relying on a $10 wally world timer to reboot my router 2 times a day. The problem there is that the router may go wonky shortly after a scheduled reboot and my terminal server and security cam dvr would be inaccessible. Now thanks to this goodie it reboots when needed for minimal downtime. A must-have when it just has to be up & running. Just last week I went to check my cameras--no service. Used the android app to reset the router and bingo, I had my cameras viewable a minute later

I used to have a nice work from home gig but they brought us all back in-house. So now I cannot be there to reboot stuff if needed. I maintain a terminal server for my sister in texas for her quickbooks and I run webservers and a security cam system for the house. Previously I was relying on a $10 walmart timer to give the router a reboot 2x's a day to try to keep it fresh--every so often there would be an "off-cycle" glitch and the router would get jammed up and everything would be down until I could get home. Now with this baby I don't have ro worry about the 2 reboots a day at possibly inconvenient times and NOT rebooting when it's really needed

I wanted to respond an say that I ran your product through it's paces, making sure it could be set to a static IP and enjoying the fact that not only could it ping but go against an http: url. I am using it as a kind of deadman switch to monitor a standalone data acquisition device (with web interface) such that if it stops responding to web queries, the device is reset. Works as advertised in every respect. I will share the information re: this device with other interested parties.

It was a little difficult to setup, but once I figured it out it was fine. Appears to work as advertised!

So far the switch has performed as described. I am using it to support my DSL modem remotely in Phoenix which keeps my remote security camera functioning.

The switch replaced a wemo wifi switch. Installed in 5 minutes. Setting up control on Android phone took minutes. Great product. minor drawback for some is that it is not wireless. Did not matter in my case. Much prefer this over the wemo.

The product is shipped with no instructions so obviously it did not work in the beginning. Reset never happened when needed. Finally after launching the web user interface it took me entirely to long to realize that the system was in manual and by pure luck I found out how to put it in auto(I think). Maybe it is working now?? As a manufacturing engineer I have written tons of operator instructions for complicated equipment/machinery and obviously the maker of this switch hasn't! 3g has dropped the ball here!
A getting started guide was printed on the invoice included in the box. We're sorry you missed that! Additional guides and manuals are also available in the support portal, and of course you're welcome to call us for technical support - one year of tech support is included with your purchase.

Was using the Belkin Wireless Wemo. Fine idea but had trouble when I changed router out and wanted to re-install Android App on tablet. So I gave the Remote Power Switch a try. It requires Cat 5 to the router. It is not wireless. I actually preferred that. I use it to remotely power on and off Amateur Radio Equipment. Literally to less than 15 minutes to install, connect, get Android App and use. Great Product.

The single outlet IP switch is a very nice product. It was a very smooth installation. Thank you. Thank you.

Again north korean worthless toy...this is good for onsite only..........absolutely no dynamic dns facility in place.................why in the world
would you use this on a remote site without ip management...of course if all of your jobs are on static ips you got it made...other than that its a gloryfied toy.
We're sorry you were so dissatisfied with the Remote Power Switch. If you need to access the Switch remotely, you can use the mobile app to do so, although that is somewhat limited in terms of what you can do.
If you can set up dynamic DNS on the router you have the Switch connected to, you would then be able to access it that way. You probably just need to set up a port forwarding rule as well, unless you do not have anything else on your network using port 80.
If you are using the Switch to reset a router or modem, it is important to know that you should ONLY reset the outlet when you are accessing it remotely. Manually powering it OFF remotely, will cause you to loose your connection to it. However, if you're using the Switch to reset something else on your network (say a WiFi access point or camera, for example), the power On or Power Off commands would work just fine. This is because you're not powering down the hardware that provides the Switch with a local and Internet connection.
Also, please remember that we provide one year of technical support with your purchase - you have not contacted us for assistance yet, and we will be happy to help!
