The Single Outlet IP Switch is designed to automatically check if the network connection is online. Should the internet connection go down, the outlet is designed to automatically power-cycle. Users can also remotely turn on/off/reset the outlet via the Android/iOS App or the User Interface (web browser) or schedule timed on/off/resets*.

Uses for the 3Gstore Single Outlet IP Switch:

  • Home users who have to manually power-cycle their router to re-gain internet connectivity
  • IT Professionals who need to automatically or remotely reset devices
  • Preventing your connection from timing out or going dormant
  • Create an automatic power schedule (ex: turn on at 9am & turn off at 5pm)

*The iPhone/Android application is required to update the firmware on the IP Switch. All other controls can be accessed either via the app or the web interface.

NOTE: the single-oulet switch cannot be configured for custom external or internal ping targets. If this is a feature that your application requires, please see the Dual Outlet IP Switch, which allows changes to be made to both external and internal IP addresses.

Tech Support and 24/7 Support Portal Access Included: Our expert tech support is included for free with your purchase. You'll also have 24/7 access to our online Support Portal (which includes step-by-step guides, tip sheets, documentation, manuals, and more)! You can view all the support items you'll have access to by clicking on the "Support" tab above.

The primary feature of the unit is very simple: it monitors an internet connection and power-cycles the connected devices if the internet connection goes down. This simple feature alone can be very useful if your mobile broadband or cable/DSL connection drops, and all you need to do is reset the router to re-gain connectivity - this will automatically reset the router for you, without anyone having to visit the location and manually cycle power.

The switch replaced a wemo wifi switch. Installed in 5 minutes. Setting up control on Android phone took minutes. Great product. minor drawback for some is that it is not wireless. Did not matter in my case. Much prefer this over the wemo.

The product is shipped with no instructions so obviously it did not work in the beginning. Reset never happened when needed. Finally after launching the web user interface it took me entirely to long to realize that the system was in manual and by pure luck I found out how to put it in auto(I think). Maybe it is working now?? As a manufacturing engineer I have written tons of operator instructions for complicated equipment/machinery and obviously the maker of this switch hasn't! 3g has dropped the ball here!

Was using the Belkin Wireless Wemo. Fine idea but had trouble when I changed router out and wanted to re-install Android App on tablet. So I gave the Remote Power Switch a try. It requires Cat 5 to the router. It is not wireless. I actually preferred that. I use it to remotely power on and off Amateur Radio Equipment. Literally to less than 15 minutes to install, connect, get Android App and use. Great Product.

Again north korean worthless toy...this is good for onsite only..........absolutely no dynamic dns facility in place.................why in the world would you use this on a remote site without ip management...of course if all of your jobs are on static ips you got it made...other than that its a gloryfied toy.

3Gstore Comments:
We're sorry you were so dissatisfied with the Remote Power Switch. If you need to access the Switch remotely, you can use the mobile app to do so, although that is somewhat limited in terms of what you can do.

If you can set up dynamic DNS on the router you have the Switch connected to, you would then be able to access it that way. You probably just need to set up a port forwarding rule as well, unless you do not have anything else on your network using port 80.

If you are using the Switch to reset a router or modem, it is important to know that you should ONLY reset the outlet when you are accessing it remotely. Manually powering it OFF remotely, will cause you to loose your connection to it. However, if you're using the Switch to reset something else on your network (say a WiFi access point or camera, for example), the power On or Power Off commands would work just fine. This is because you're not powering down the hardware that provides the Switch with a local and Internet connection.

Also, please remember that we provide one year of technical support with your purchase - you have not contacted us for assistance yet, and we will be happy to help!

Actually worked like a charm and already tested it this week! Very simple instructions and easy to setup. I noticed some people complaining of the product, I guess maybe they didn't even follow the instructions step by step. I will just let you know that I had some issues at some point after undergoing a power failure at home. Once the power came, I wasn't able to get image from my dvr. I thought it had something to do with my isp but wasn't the case. Sadly I was away from home but to my luck, I thought of checking the host address I created (dyndns) for my camera system. Once I got to the page, I noticed the switch captured the dvr's IP address. I was actually seeing the switch settings and not the home page to access my cameras images. I was able to change the setting to get the ip from auto to manual and then assigned a new address to the switch; that's when I got image again!!!! Maybe that's something that has happened to some of your customers before. For me it was an easy fix though. Thanks for the switch and your service!

Setup was a bit tricky for me as I'm not an IT guy, however their support responded promptly(after hours) to my email for help. Had to wait longer for our own IT guy to get back to me on how our DHCP server was set up. If you're not familiar with networking, just follow the instructions to the letter and you should be fine. Updating firmware was not an issue, just had to connect the switch to our wireless router. No big deal, but noticed another reviewer couldn't figure that out. The two things that really sold me on this unit is 1) The phone app for android. 2)The Ethernet connection. I don't feel that in our case a wireless connection is reliable enough for what we need. I was also very glad that the auto reset function is able to be disabled as we don't need/want it for our purposes. Price was nice too. Bottom line, switch works as advertised, though admittedly may be a bit tricky for some(like me) to set up.

So far I love this power switch. I bought two for home in Cape Coral,Florida. I have been experimenting with it in Ohio. What I love most is this company!!! This is one of the first companies that actually helped and cared to answer all my question and treated me like a friend!!!!! If this works as well as I think it will ,I will also contact Digital Watchdog and suggest that they advise buyers to consider getting one with the security systems. This company has been just fantastic. I will update when installed in Florida 1260 miles away!!!!I would buy again from 3G !!!!!!!!!!!!!
