I bought 2 for retail installations. They both work well, easy to setup and very reliable

Very solid product. We needed 100% reliability at a good price. This was perfect. The support from 3GStore was outstanding!

This review is based on just a few days' use at a remote location. The nearest 4G tower was probably 12 to 15 miles away, but with completely unobstructed line of sight. I got 15 meg download and 7 meg upload speeds using nothing more than the antennas supplied with this unit. It gave good internet access in a location where previously there was none. The software interface seems more intuitive to me than some other routers I have used (I am not a professional IT guy).

Update 8/19/2014 - The 3GStore in cooperation with Pepwave replaced my faulty BR1 Max. After about a week with the new Max I'm starting have positive thoughts about this product. Guessing that the first one was defective out of the box. I'm slow to acknowledge that the problem is resolved but very hopeful. If the replacement continues to perform as it has been for the last week I will update this review accordingly. Stay away from this product and Pepwave. It is flakey, lacks good support and is not worth anywhere near the $600 that I paid for it. I am also disappointed with 3G's support of this product. For 4+ years I used an old Pepwave Surf (which they don't make anymore). It was fantastic. This BR1 (which I bought on the recommendation of the 3GStore) is not worth the cost of the box they shipped it in.

3Gstore Comments:
We apologize that the MAX-BR1 that you ordered on January 27, 2014 didn't work out for you - the Max BR1 is a very reliable router. Per your order notes, it looks like the issue you were having was related to a hardware issue. Unfortunately, while it is very frustrating, sometimes hardware failures do happen. All products from the Pepwave family have a 1-year manufacture’s warranty, and on July 7th 2014 Pepwave agreed to do a warranty replacement and referred you back to us to arrange the swap. On July 7th at 11:04 am CST one of our technical support representatives left you a voicemail advising you that we can do the warranty replacement and cross-ship you had requested, but we never heard back from you. If you want to proceed with the RMA swap please give is a call at 866-3GSTORE x3.

So far, so good. I live in an area where cellular coverage is weak. I have relied for years on a 2G/3G repeater system using Wilson amps and high gain antennas. Verizon recently upgraded our tower to 4G LTE. I weighed various strategies for upgrading my system, and decided on the Pepwave MAX BR1, in part because of advice from 3Gstore (thanks, Matt!). I'm happy with it so far. My peak DL speeds have gone from 2.8 mbps to 30+ mbps.

A great router, user friendly interface makes this pretty easy to setup and manage multiple connections to internet. A good rugged nicely put together unit, definitely built for real work, not like some other units out there.

I am a full time RVer. I have been looking for a solution to home-like performance for high speed internet. I've found it in Verizon's 4G service and the Pepwave router. The speed and reliability are astounding. Combined with an Apple TV connected to the LAN port on the router, I have the complete system. I connected the router to a Mobile Mark antenna. This combination utilizes the full potential of the system. Whenever there is WiFi, the system picks it up and channels it through. Because the the performance of the antenna, I can pick up WiFi more easily and with greater speeds. This is a magnificent set-up! Now if we can just get Verizon to open up unlimited data, I'd be set for life.

All the layouts are working well, very straight forward and easy to use admin interface. The connection has been rock solid since we've installed the equipment at our site location!

Shipping was quick and we got the unit on time, our internal resources just weren't available on the same timeline. So far I'm very impressed with the unit and we're getting fantastic speeds via the GSM 3G in the Verizon Max BR1, it's likely we'll still favor the 4G/LTE units, but I think we'll likely be keeping this unit for a deployment since it's been quite robust so far and the testing went flawlessly.
