Wilson 50ohm Lightning Surge Protector - 859902

Helps protect an amplifier from power surges such as those caused by a lightning strike to an outside antenna. Protector is inserted inline between outside antenna and amplifier, and must be adequately grounded. The protector does not connect directly to the amplifier.

Regardless of your setup, you'll need to ground the lighting protector - to do this, you'll loosen the small screw on the suppressor and insert a 10 gauge copper grounding wire and run it into the ground (instructions are included).

NOTE: This is a lightning protector for 50ohm antennas/amplifiers. If you are using a 75ohm system like the SignalBoost DT or SignalBoost DB Pro amplifier kits, you need to purchase the 859988 75ohm Lightning Protector instead.

To use this lightning protector with an antenna with a cable terminated in FME-female (such as the Wilson 32" Omni Trucker antenna) and NO amplifier, you'll need two adapters: one 951110 and one 971113.

To use this lightning protector with an antenna with a cable terminated in FME-female (such as the Wilson 32" Omni Trucker antenna) WITH an amplifier, you'll need the following components: a 971113 adapter to connect the lightning protector to your external antenna, an ultra-low loss cable to go between the lightning protector and the amplifier (a 2' length is plenty), and a 971107 adapter to connect the cable to the amplifier.

To use this lightning protector with an antenna with a cable terminated in N-male (such as the Wilson Yagi antenna), a 2' 9913 jumper cable is typically used to connect the protector to the amplifier (although any length of 9913 coax may be used).
