The PHS300 has reached "end of life" and is no longer available. There are a variety of other routers available - to view and compare ALL the available routers, use our Router Advisor .
This router uses Cradlepoint's legacy platform; their newer routers (the MBR1400 , MBR95 , CTR35 , CBR400 , CBR450 ) use the NetBSD platform. The NetBSD platform is easier to use, was created with 4G LTE/WiMAX in mind, and features improvements in modem reliability. The legacy routers will continue to be supported/updated for another year, but for long-term support you may want to consider one of the BSD routers. If you plan to use this router with a 4G WiMAX or LTE modem, we strongly advise using a USB extension cable to reduce interference and improve performance. 3Gstore carries a 9'10" USB extension and a 3'4" USB extension for this purpose. This PHS300 has the REVISION 2.0 hardware . This is the latest version that supports 3G AND 4G WiMAX (not LTE) modems. Many other resellers are selling the 3G-ONLY version of the PHS300, which does not (and will never) support WiMAX modems!
It is a good idea to change the router's wireless network name and password so that nearby users can't use your connection without your knowledge. It is fairly easy to do, BUT for those who want a router already configured BEFORE we ship it, we can set up your router with the network name and password of your choice for $15:

Planning to use this router with a CLEAR, Comcast, or Time Warner 4G WiMAX modem? Additional upgrades and settings changes are necessary to use this router with your 4G modem. You can do these yourself with the provided instructions, or 3Gstore can upgrade the router for you before shipping.
