This is a great device. I was able to connect to my BB9810 and the unit worked very well. However, the firmware update had to be applied before it would work with the BB9810. But that was an easy enough task to complete. I do recommend purchasing the cigarette lighter adapter if you plan to use this device on the road. There is no option on the device to prevent it from using it's own battery source to charge the phone that is connected to it. With the BB9810, a battery will only last about 30 minutes which is why I gave only 4 stars. Other than that, it worked as advertised. It should be noted that the BB9810 is NOT listed as a supported device but it still worked with AT&T's tethering plan (a tethering plan is required). I successfully connected 3 separate computers to the hotspot concurrently - 2 laptops and an IPAD2. However, I wouldn't recommend more than one or two devices connected concurrently due to bandwidth limitations of the phone. Dean G. 2012-01-28
