My comments about the Cradlepoint MBR95. I replaced a 1 year old MBR 900--my first home router. I used 3/4 G as my internet, and take my 4G aircard with me.
I was a person who tried home routers about 5 years ago, and was baffled and frustrated by the setup. I had had a 3G mifi, and it was useful, but when I realized what the possibilities were, I upgraded to a real home router, with the help of a very patient high tech friend. With the 900, I was thrilled to be on the internet in 2 minutes flat. I added a Seagate Network Access Storage via Ethernet for backup. After I rooted my android, I was running the router using it for a time. (now that is way cool).
I live in a 3 story townhome, so I had to have good signal strength on all floors -- the 900 wasn't great, but the 35 and 95 are very good. My devices all connect, and stay connected.
I tried a of different things. I did all this to learn how these devices worked, and what I could do with the home router. Life is great when you have a setup like this that works. Ultimately it saves time when you don't have to sweat over what connects and what doesn't.
Once I was comfortable with the 900, I found the CTR 35 (Travel router). Just the ticket for my long commute, and out of town trips! And the 35, and 95 work with a Tekkeon battery that was suggested by the 3G store -- the 3g Store really knows their stuff, and so do the Tekkeon people. I also purchased a car charger -- works with the 35, 95 and the tekkeon battery, so I will never be out of power for the router.
The people at Cradlepoint are great! Answered all my questions, explained why I couldn't see the clients on the 900 (I.E. problems--disappeared when I used Chrome). I am a big Cradlepoint fan -- so I upgraded to the 95, and it's different, but I like it. My aircard (LG VL600 - Verizon) likes it too.
The 35 and 95 are fast, easy to set up, and use. They just work. And Cradlepoint answers your questions when you don't understand things. So does the 3G store.
In my mind, I've found a very winning combination: The 3G store, the Cradlepoint line, and the Tekkeon battery people are committed to good products and great customer service. It is refreshing to see this attitude.
I give the 35, the 95, the Tekkeon My power all, and the 3G store my highest ratings -- they are all great!
Thanks for giving me a chance to say a few words about these products
