I was disappointed with the performance of this antenna. I live in a fringe area where signal strength is very marginal. My USB LTE modem works outside my second story window, but not in the house. I was hoping that I could keep my modem indoors away from the harsh winter weather. Unfortunately, the gain of this antenna is lower than the gain of the internal antenna in my USB modem. No matter where or how high I placed this antenna, I could not get better performance than simply putting my modem outside the window.
This antenna would probably work fine in an area where there is a good signal outside, and the building structure is all that prevents the signal from propogating indoors, but for me, living where the signal was already weak, this product didn't work well at all. I wish the gain on this antenna were about 9dbm instead of 3 dbm, because I really liked theidea of a passive solution to my problem.
I considered (but didn't try) adding a direct connect amplifier which I suspect may have improved performance considerably since I have a similar problem with cell phones in my house and a cellular repeater solved the problem nicely. I decided to wait until an LTE repeater is available instead of using a direct connect amplifier.

3Gstore Comments: Hello, sorry it didn't work out for you. Signal and getting signal is all location based and it looks like it just didn't work out for you. I see that you called in a few times and our tech support department gave you suggestions and according to the notes you signal improved from -89 dBm to -76 dBm (which is a real good gain). Looks like you requested an RMA and we already issued you a refund.
