I went through a period of over a month where I had to restart a troublesome server much too often. Before I got the switch, those restarts included 16-mile each way trips. When I bought the switch, I found it hard to believe that a little $100 switch could do what 3G advertised. The competing products were far more expensive. It turned out that the little $100 swich was exactly what I needed. That little switch saved my life or at least my sanity. Actually when I bought it I was not aware you could control it with little 1-line instant messenger commands. I ended up putting Microsoft IM on my iPhone and thanking that little box every day. We have finally managed to clear up the problem that required all of the restarts, but that little remote power switch will always have a place in my heart. IAS P. 2012-06-18
