32" Omni External Antenna (Mount and Adapter Cable Sold Separately)

I recieved the antenna very quickly and was ready to install it on my card, because with the card alone, I didn't recieve a good enough signal to connect at all. I pluged the antenna in, and the card's LED quickly changed from blinking red to a solid green. Good news. I'm not sure what good signals are but my connection manager fluxuates between -95dBm and -101dBm. I don't get an EVDO connection, but it's definatley proved its worth, because now i can actually use the service I purchased. One thing I noticed however; When I mounted the antenna outside my house, from the outer window sill of my upstairs bedroom, and tried to connect, the connection manager would say "connecting..." While my card would flash green a bit, as if it were changing data, then blink out all together, and repeat the process. When I braught it back inside and held it aloft in my hand, it had no problems connecting and the signal change was negigable. I suppose my question would be where to mount for best signal, because I'm currently holding it between my legs as I type this review!
