MBR900 Details:

The Cradlepoint MBR900 bridges the wired and wireless worlds seamlessly. It features the broadest support of mobile broadband data modems available on the market today, and has easily upgradable firmware for future technology advances. Built with advanced data throughput management for wired services (Cable, T1, or DSL) as well as mobile broadband, your WiFi network has never been more flexible at such a affordable price.

The MBR900 is essentially two routers in one. Ready to be used with an active 3G/4G mobile broadband device, it also supports ethernet-based data connections. Also, with the MBR900s built-in failover/failback feature, you can use both wired and wireless together to create a redundant internet connection. When your wired data service is interrupted, within 30 seconds the MBR900 will automatically connect to an attached active data modem - keeping you connected and online. Once service is restored, the MBR900 will automatically failback to your primary connection - minimizing the time youre connected to the data modem. The MBR900 is the perfect solution to keep your business flowing.

Powered by WiPipe technology, the MBR900 includes many features found in expensive, enterprise -class routers at a fraction of the cost. No software to load and minimal setup means youll be up and running in minutes. The MBR900 comes standard with top security features like multiple concurrent VPN pass-through sessions, encryption modes including WEP, WPA/WPA2/WPA2Enterprise and a firewall which prevents unauthorized use of your connection. Confidently and securely access the Internet and share your data connection with up to 30 people or devices!

Great for home users

We consider the MBR900 to be the best "entry level home-use router" and think it will become a very popular choice for those customers who want the greater WiFi N range, and don't think they'll even need the additional bandwidth that load-balancing can provide across multiple cellular modems that the MBR900's bigger brothers like the MBR1000 and MBR1200 can provide.

In addition to the single USB port, the MBR900 features a 4-port 10/100 (megabit) ethernet switch; a single ethernet WAN input to allow for use as cable/dsl/satellite router; 802.11N WiFi through two non-detachable antennas; a power on/off switch as well as an on/off switch for the WiFi radio.

This was one my best online purchases! The shipping came to my door in rural BC in less than 3 days from my Sunday order. I plugged the router in and away we went! It took less than 5 minutes to have the whole thing up and running on my MAC! Awesome product and service.

This router and the CD included for easy setup of it was so easy to setup and be ready to use, I couldn't believe it. I popped in the CD to my mac, it opened Firefox Live, and guided me through setting up the router in about 5 minutes. Then, I plugged in my 3G modem (AT&T Mercury) and it automatically connected in about 30 seconds. It could not have been much easier. 3Gstore's sales staff definitely chose a high quality router to recommend to me and I love it's features. One day when wired high speed internet makes it to my house, I'll still be able to use this router with it.
