Users of USB modems, hotspots, and embedded modems that use a connector type OTHER than SMA will need an adapter cable or connector to connect the antenna to your device AND an SMA to FME adapter (if your device has an SMA/Female connector, you will NOT need any adapters). If you already own the necessary adapter or if your device has an SMA/Female antenna connector, you can select the "I already have an adapter" option from the bottom of the list.
Select Your Adapter Cable or Connector (required) - details
This antenna has an SMA/Male connector. If you will be using it with a traditional adapter cable or an amplifier with an FME/Male connector, you MUST add the SMA to FME adapter.
Add SMA to FME Adapter (required for most users!) - details
This antenna does NOT include mounting hardware. We recommend adding this 3-way mount unless you already own a compatible mount.

Fast Facts About This Product:

  • This antenna is best for: RV-ers and truckers who want to mount an antenna to their sideview mirror or ladder frame (hence the nickname "Trucker Antenna"); home/office users for whom 12' of cable is sufficient.
  • Compatibility: 700mhz/800mhz/1900mhz networks, which are used by most 2G, 3G, and 4G providers in the USA, including:
    • Verizon 2G/3G/4G (does NOT work for Verizon's AWS frequencies - helps with 4G only on the 700mhz band)
    • Sprint 2G/3G/4G LTE (does NOT work with 4G WiMAX!)
    • AT&T 2G/3G/4G/LTE
    • T-Mobile & MetroPCS 3G/4G only where 1900mhz is being used (these carriers also use the 1700/2100mhz bands in some areas; this antenna will NOT help in those cases).
    • US Cellular 3G/4G
    • Datajack 3G
    • Virgin Mobile 3G
    • For other carriers, confirm which frequency your provider is using and make sure this antenna supports it before purchasing! Contact us if you need any assistance.
  • Height: 32" tall.
  • Cable: 12' of RG-58 cable hardwired to the antenna; extension cables sold separately.
  • Ground Plane: The Omni Trucker uses included radials as a built-in ground plane.
  • Weatherproof? Yes, this antenna is designed for exterior use.
  • Mounting Requirements: The antenna can be installed in a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded "CB" mount OR you can use the optional 3-Way Mount (see above) to mount it to the sideview mirror frame on a truck/RV/coach, RV ladder frame, boat, or outside of house/office.
  • Portability: This antenna is designed to be affixed to a structure such as a house or a RV/truck and as such is not a very portable option. The optional mount does attach with standard bolts, so it is not necessarily a "permanent" installation, but it is not compact or easily transported.

Do a site survey before buying this antenna! If you're purchasing this to use in just one location, we strongly recommend doing a site survey first to determine whether the antenna will help your signal and performance and to give you an idea of what kind of results you can expect from it. Users in need of an external antenna to boost 3g/LTE signal strenght within fringe areas will find the Omni External Antenna to be a top buy. If you compare the other available antennas by listed specifications, the 32 in. Omni beats the others by far in all of the usable bands. I have Sprint broadband which actually uses 3 different frequency paths to accomplish their LTE scheme, and in each area the Omni is a strong contender for reception.

I will say, however, that it is advisable to mount the antenna on something that can be moved around at first before deciding on a more permanent location. View whatever signal strength meters that you can access and find "the sweet spot". In my case, I used my router software to view signal strength readings until I was satisfied with a final location. It is mounted on a tripod that used to have two quartz work lights on it, so mine is an easy and solid mount to move around. It also adjusts up and down for height!

So enjoy, and don't forget to talk to the 3g Store support people if you need extension cable, adapters, or anything else that might apply to your installation..

This is the second one I bought, have not put up yet but the other one worked fine so I would think this one should be just as good

I'm using this antenna with a 12' coax going into my camper to a Pantech UHS291L MiFi device. I haven't done any serious comparisons, but I can tell my upload and download speeds have improved compared to the MiFi device just being on the wall in my camper. For an omni directional device, I am pleased with it. Mounts are similar/comparable to most CB antennas.

I installed this on my RV along with an amplifier. Installation was easier then expected. My cell phone reception is noticeably improved. Thank you 3G Store for all of your help.

Around and within 1/2 mile of my home I can find marginal 4G signal with my UML290 modem. It's spotty and unusable and most often not even "there". I live in a rural wooded area, and with this antenna mounted in an upstairs room of my house, I have 1 - 2 bars (in VZ Access Manager) of stable 4G service.
The antenna is well constructed for its price. The 12' lead has a good resilient sheathing although some care must be taken as with handling any communications cables especially in regards to kinks. If the intent is to fish or run the cable through a vehicle or building, I would wrap the connector end with some vinyl tape to help protect it from damage and

contamination. The ground plane laterals must be installed by user, a small tube of loctite is included to secure the threads if the antenna is to be mounted outdoors or on a vehicle.

The package arrived a little beat-up from delivery (kink in the box as if squished or dropped on end) but the contents were unharmed. The "3-way omni mount" purchased from is more than robust enough for this application. The instructional pamphlet included with the adapter cable was brief and helpful. I would recommend this product to anyone who's finding marginal signal in their area and thinks a few db might make all the difference.

I had a magnetic mount antenna on my RV roof on a 10" ground plane and was getting 3 bars on my router. After attaching the Omni External Antenna to my crank up TV antenna I immediately saw 4bars. Excellent product and fast service from 3G Store

I purchased this antenna from you and 4 days latter it arrived. All I had to do was screw in the 6 ground plain laterals. 1 of them was def fictive as there wasn't any threads in the hole. I called Wilson and told them what was wrong and he said were did you purchase the antenna. I told him the 3gstore. He asked me for my address and said he was shipping me a new one right away. It arrived and now I can use the internet and I'm really happy with the antenna. Also I didn't have to ship the defective back. Thank You so very much ... Jim S

Used this antenna on my home in a rural area where I was on the fringe of 4G LTE Data Service. The quality is great and the reception improved from 1 to 3G to 4G speed on my Mi-Fi Hot Spot device. I would imagine this would be similar in mobile installations.

Antenna is worthless in Colorado country. Must buy $120 amplifier also to make it work. Of course, Verizon is the real problem out here. Antenna appears to be high quality and it's made in America.

I mounted this outside my house using the 3way mount and a 1" 90 degree piece of conduit. Went from no usable signal to 3 to 4 bars on Verizon 4G. The 3 way mount could have slightly longer bolts included to make mounting easier, it was a stretch to get it to mount to the conduit. Overall, a high quality product and a great price.
