Fast Facts about this Product:

  • This repeater kit is best for: users with direct line of sight to the cell tower (necessary because this kit includes a directional Yagi antenna) who are looking for a powerful all-in-one kit to provide boosted signal to multiple devices in a mid-size home/office and have the space to accommodate the 40' of separation between the antennas that this kit requires. Ideal for users who want to use standard RG6 cabling (most amplifiers cannot use RG6 cable).
  • Coverage area*: up to 4,000 square feet
  • All-in-One Kit? YES
  • Compatibility: 800mhz/1900mhz networks, which are used by most 2G (voice) and 3G networks in the USA, including:
    • Verizon 2G/3G
    • Sprint 2G/3G
    • AT&T 2G/3G and HSPA+ (which shows up on your device as "4G" - NOT LTE)
    • T-Mobile and Cricket voice only
    • Does NOT work with LTE for any carrier or AWS (T-Mobile 3G/4G)

IMPORTANT SIGNAL INFORMATION: If you're purchasing an amplifier for use at one specific location, we strongly recommend doing a site survey first to determine whether the amplifier will help you and to give you an idea of what kind of results you can expect from it.

If your signal is extremely poor (-108db or worse), an amplifier may not be effective - there must be some usable signal available for the amplifier to boost. Conversely, if the signal is too STRONG at your location (-50db or better), the amplifier may shut down to avoid interference with the tower.

The SIGNALBOOST DB pro cellular amplifier kit significantly improves the performance of any cellular device experiencing weak signal inside of buildings. At the center of this kit is the DB Pro dual band (800/1900) amplifier with a new high gain design. An external yagi antenna with multiple mounting options eliminates researching cell site locations and antenna pointing. The inside panel antenna which rebroadcasts the amplified signal is designed for optional in-wall mounting. All components are interconnected using provided standard TV cable (RG6) which is easily available and often found pre-installed, simplifying cable runs.

How it works: The outside antenna picks up the cellular signal and sends it through the first cable to the amplifier. The signal is then boosted and sent through the second cable to the inside antenna, which rebroadcasts the boosted signal. All of your modems/phones within range of the inside antenna can benefit from the boosted signal wirelessly.

*Many factors will influence the actual coverage area you will see from a repeater, including layout/floorplan, construction, and original un-amplified signal strength. Depending on your situation, you may see more or less coverage than the estimates listed here. It is not possible to guarantee coverage area.

Installation notes:

  • In order for your system to function properly, you must maintain adequate separation between the outside and inside antennas (if the antennas are too close together, there will be oscillation/feedback between the antennas and the amplifier will shut down). This amplifier requires approximately 40' of separation between the outside and inside antennas. Separation can be horizontal or vertical.
  • If you cannot achieve adequate separation to eliminate oscillation, you can turn down the gain on the amplifier, but that will result in a smaller coverage area from the amplifier.
  • The Yagi antenna must be aimed directly at the cell tower - if it is not aimed properly or if there are too many obstructions between it and the cell tower, it will not be effective. If you don't have line of sight to the cell tower, we recommend buying the kit with the omni antenna instead.
  • The interior antenna should be at least 10' away from the amplifier.
  • Make sure the panel antenna is aimed AWAY from the outside antenna.

I put the booster antenna on top of the house just below the MiFi external antenna purchased from the 3G Store. Now the signals inside the house are as good or better than the signals outside. Thank you for the help.

What can I say 3g stores great! They set me up with a perfect system now my wife can work from home with no signal drop outs whatsoever. wilson system is nearly perfect. We now just recently got rid of our land line phone service saving us over$50.00 per month! With that said the system will pay for itself in 9the months! Thanks 3gfor store!

I very unhappy with the product. I followed the directions and I seemed to have multiple directions that had sufficient signal strength, unfortunately the Yagi only takes one tower at a time. I end up with no signal sometimes. I would like to return the Yagi for an omnidirectional antenna and deal with the lower signal strength. Focusing and finding the antenna is just too hard.

3Gstore Comments:

For most users, we recommend an omni directional antenna - as it can be much easier to setup. Also, if the tower you are connecting is overloaded, an omni directional will connect to the next one, where a yagi will not. Some situations, a Yagi is the best choice. You are within 30 days so just give our RMA department a call, we can give you a 100% store credit and allow you to exchange it for the one with an omni directional. Another option, is too just purchase the omni directional antenna and that will give you both options later on. Either way, let us know.
