This antenna does NOT include cabling. You must select a length of cable from the list (we bundle the necessary connectors with the cable so that the cable will connect to the antenna on one side and the adapter on the other side). If you already have a compatible cable you plan to use (this antenna has an SMA/Male connector), you may select the "I already have a cable" option at the bottom of the list.

How much cable should you use? Unless you plan on using an amplifier as well, we recommend using LESS THAN 50' OF CABLE to minimize signal loss. The longer the cable you use, the more signal you lose. Mounting the antenna outside and reasonably high up is recommended, but using long lengths of cable for the express purpose of mounting the antenna higher up is NOT worth it - you will lose more signal from the cable than you will gain from mounting it up higher. For example, using a 20' cable and mounting the antenna at the roof line would be better than using a 50' cable and running the antenna high up a pole on the roof.

Was using a Wilson trucker's antenna on my sailboat for years because a marine antenna had not been available at that time. This is much more compact and less obtrusive. Like the trucker antenna, I'm able to get better reception on many areas of the Chesapeake Bay that I hadn't been able to get without an antenna. Have no real way ofmeasuring its effectivenes so my observations are all anecdotal.

Gain was not what I expected. I could not repeat manufacturers claim. Frequency range was not what I expected. Came with very thin cable and required awkward adaptor to low loss cabling.

I bought this to work on a sailboat so that our evdo would would work better in remote anchorages down the ICW. First tests show that it works very well.
